About Time’s Up

TIME’S UP! is a grassroots environmental group that uses educational outreach and direct action to promote a more sustainable, less toxic city. For 35 years, TIME’S UP! has worked to educate people about the environmental impacts of everyday decisions, from the food we buy to the means of transportation we use.

On this website you can read and see a lot about what we’ve done, especially our ongoing environmental campaigns. We are a group that takes action, and you can consult our calendar of events and see what we’re doing — and what you could be doing with us!

Check out our 35th Anniversary Timeline of Events and Accomplishments.

We’re a nonprofit group run entirely by volunteers, everyone is invited to join. We welcome individuals who can contribute their experience and skills to work on our campaigns or even expand the role of TIME’S UP! All our events and actions are open to the public, and, with very few exceptions, participation is free.

In addition to our campaigns and actions, we have educational programs, especially for youth. We’ve brought the environment into the classroom and the classroom out into the environment!
