New York, NY (September 20, 2007) – Time’s Up! & greenapplemap.org Green Map System’s park(ing) space on 7th Avenue & Charles Street, will offer music, chairs, shade and lemonade for all New Yorkers to kick back and relax. A bike mechanic will be available for quick tune-ups and cyclists will receive a 25% discount at the Birdbath Bakery.

Entertainment will include a special appearance by the Time’s Up! Bicycle Clowns who be clearing the bike lanes for cycling commuters and ending their ride at Time’s Up! Park Space, “7th Haven” at around 10:00 AM.

Time’s Up! volunteer Judy Ross explains, “7th Haven demonstrates an alternative to sacrificing 45% of our precious public space for the movement and storage of motor vehicles. Wider sidewalks, convenient benches and abundant greenery all contribute to a healthier and more convivial New York City.”
