PEACE BIKE RIDES co sponsored by PEACE MUSEUM NY www.peacemuseumnewyork.org PEACE BIKE RIDES – THIRD SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH  Sunday, February 16 2014  – PEACE & LOVE BIKE RIDE Meet at Gandhi Statue, SW corner of Union Square (across from Staples) 2 PM This month, in honor of Valentine’s Day, we celebrate not only PEACE but LOVE!!!  Bring your true love (perhaps your bicycle?) and join us for a leisurely, peaceful ride (with some extra love thrown in) to some of downtown Manhattan’s peace sites, including: Tibet House, Anthroposophical Society, Former residence of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Point Thank You, Teardrop Park, The Irish Hunger Memorial, Art from the Berlin Wall, Robert Wagner Park, The Labyrinth for Contemplation, Fritz Koenig’s “The Sphere,” St. Paul’s Chapel, the site of the Mother AME Zion Church (“first church in NYC built and led by Afro-Americans”) and the African Burial Ground. Great ride for kids and cyclists new to group rides. Route subject to change, not all sites are visited on every ride. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER! Heavy rain or snow cancels.  If need be, we will make a hot beverage stop and share the love! February’s ride will end with an optional stop at Fraunces Tavern for warm cocktails and live traditional music by the Sean McNally Band!  Need a Bike?
